V+M Structural Design, Inc. provides consulting engineering services in the US and Canada with a specialization in the planning, design and construction of bridges. The firm is founded on the principal of delivering creative design solutions that are aesthetic, efficient and constructible within the prescribed budget.
The core practice area is bridge structures that includes pedestrian bridges, roadway bridges, and LRT elevated guideways.
Our engineering approach is rooted in practical design supplemented by computer analysis after the basic behavior of the structural system is understood. We believe in clearly articulating load paths and hierarchy of structural members to deliver sound designs. We also set out to optimize our concepts, informing our design detailing at an early stage with well-conceived construction methods.
With a passion for pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, we enjoy collaborating with urban planners, landscape architects, and architects on this category of bridges.
